Yup, Bob…sounds about what I’d expect. I’ve not had any of the Quivets, but everything else from LasMadres
has always been great. Lots of black olive tapenade & black pepper notes. One of the great cold-climate Syrah vnyds
in Calif.

The olive was the defining characteristic of the vineyard for me back 8 or 10 years ago, particularly when TRB was making the wine at Nicholson Ranch. I loved it, my wife not so much. I haven’t noticed it as prominently in the Quivet wines.
