TN: 2011 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chatenière

Find myself drawn more and more to St Aubin from top producers like Lamy, PYCM, and Colin Morey. Good relative value. Drink 'em young without much regret.

Nose shows stony white fruit and green apple. Lower acid on the palate than I come to expect from PYCM, perhaps it’s this St. Aubin 1er or just '11. There’s apple, and tropical flavors, and purity. Good depth. Obviously young, will try to save my others for a few years.

Love this stuff! Nice note Dennis.

Thanks, Don.
We need to drink some wine together soon. Been way too long!
Happy NEw Year.

Agreed.
Happy New Year.

+1 Consistently, more than good as are all other white Burgs from this producer for the last few vintages.

We’ve powered through the best part of a case of this wine Dennis. Terrific stuff. Thanks for the note.

Best Regards
Jeremy

Thanks Dennis. Those PYCM St Aubins are genuinely deserving of the epithet ‘bargain’.

As soon as I saw you as the post author, Dennis, I half-thought that you must have gotten together with Don, else how would he miss trying this? [grin.gif]
