TN: 2011 Louis Metaireau - Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie (France, Loire Valley)

2011 Louis Metaireau Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie Grand Mouton - France, Loire Valley, Pays Nantais, Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine (2/2/2014)
– popped and poured –
– tasted a couple glasses non-blind over approx. one hour –

Pale bright yellow color. Nose is lightly tropical, and gives the impression this wine will have lots of mineral flavor. Light to medium-light bodied on the palate, and very dry. As the Nose suggested, there’s tons of mineral flavor, and also very nice acidity; 12% alc. not noticeable; medium-long finish of medium-strong intensity.

I like this wine a lot. And I am happy Muscadet season is upon us.
