TN: 2011 Liquid Farm Chardonnay White Hill

  • 2011 Liquid Farm Chardonnay White Hill - USA, California, Central Coast, Sta. Rita Hills (11/25/2013)
My oh my, so what have we here? This is the first of what may now be my favorite chard producer. Aromatic with a hint of minerality. Bright and clean with no detectable oak, smooth mouthfeel, and a lingering taste several seconds or more. Weightless. Drink now, but I bet this little beauty will age nicely. Strongly recommend. Amen. What lovely chard this is. Thanks for the note, Scott.

Saw this come up on my feed. Glad to hear you’ve seen the light…in case you didn’t know, you’re preaching to the choir here ; )

I signed up for only one new winery in 2013 (a miracle! what self restraint!!), and it was Liquid Farm. I kept saying at our recent tasting with the owners, it’s as though someone custom designed those chardonnays just for me. They’re exactly what I’m looking for in chardonnay.

And at mid $30s, the White Hill is great value as well.
