2011 Kofererhof Kerner
Very attractive floral elements with pronounced minerality, mild herbs and very faint traces of quinine. Ripe yet subtle yellow fruit, pears, white peaches, persimmons, lime peel and mild pepper with a slightly Gruner-like complexion. This seems as full bodied as possible for the varietal without slipping over the top. Just enough acidity and decent midpalate intensity. Moderate and pleasing finish. There’s warmth without heat. 13.5% abv. No oak. Very nice wine.
