TN: 2011 Gut Hermannsberg Weisser Burgunder Pinot Blanc (Germany, Nahe)

  • 2011 Gut Hermannsberg Weisser Burgunder Pinot Blanc - Germany, Nahe (12/28/2013)
We opened this about a week ago but I was not feeling well so we screwed the cap back on and put most of the bottle in the refrigerator. I opened it tonight after dinner. NO sign of deterioration from the time. Floral with a bit of banana on the nose. The palate is spicy, white fruit and a bit of banana with tropical guava in the back. Like ablend of Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The finish is very long. (91 pts.)

Nice one Jay, I have had a couple of PBs from Trentino which were very nice too.

Pinot Blanc from Willamette Valley is under the radar and very tasty.
