    Wow! Just wow. This is in a perfect spot 14 years after the vintage. There’s still a foundation of dark fruit, but it’s all about the smoke and leather soul of Syrah. Structure is well resolved, so it’s definitely drinking time. Stunning right now.

Until a short while ago I still had the 2010. Drank my last bottle.

I am so jealous of this - I have told John many times how much I adore his Haynes Vineyard Syrah. Such a bummer that he hasn’t been able to get fruit from this vineyard now. Hoping that changes…

Never had this wine. I’ve got one 2018 stashed away somewhere. Really tempted to try soon - would it be a mistake to open at this age?

How many do you have? I admittedly have not opened one yet. Most of the CellarTracker notes sound like it’s still showing very primary.

Just 1. I think…. I’ll stash a couple more years based on notes and look to source an older one.
