TN: 2011 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée

  • 2011 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée (9/30/2013)
Delicious village wine that titillates with its succulence and velvety texture. The fruits are all bright and red and there’s some floral spice. There’s a light creaminess in the mouth and plenty of underlying minerality. It finishes with a tart cranberry snap and is really very good.

Thanks Jeremy. This is a producer I really need to try.

We never see this bottling Jeremy. We see the two lieu dits but not this one.
Great note.

Agree mostly with the description, exept that I find the VR (Village) always slightly darker in fruits than the lieu-dits, the “creaminess” raising from VR to Colombiere to Clos du Chateau.
Granted, the 2011s last tasted out of cask some 13 months ago.

Certainly top-rank in quality, but also in price level!
