TN: 2011 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny

  • 2011 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny (11/14/2013)
The last few vintages of this wine have been fantastic and this keeps the trend line going. It has such clean and pure smells of cherry, pommegranite and raspberries. It is bright and energetic in the mouth with good detail and a tocuh of floral spice. It has good grip to the finish and whilst enjoyable now should age well.

That reminds me, I have to get to Premier Cru to pick up the bottle of 2010 you convinced me to buy last year

Thanks for Tn Jeremy I will buy some of this and cellar as well – how does it compare with the 2010 which I loved and have planned on cellaring quite a few years?

Craig, I’m here to help not to hinder.

Mikael, the '10 has a bit more density. Both outstanding village wines, although certainly priced like 1er Cru.

expensive indeed but I find them always delivering and especially with about 7-9 years of age the hit a great spot I think

Thanks for the note Jeremy! Will get some 2011’s Vogue next week!

Btw,- how is the 2011 Musigny?

Haven’t cracked an '11 Moose yet Barry. The '10 Moose and BM were stunning a couple of week’s ago though.

the Calvary?
