A year and a half ago, this was in a dumb phase. It woke up. I’m thinking it’s at the start of a drinking window.

  • 2011 Ceritas Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (5/27/2018)
    Clear gold color. Really nice secondary aromas complimenting the fruit- hazelnut, beeswax, crushed stone, acacia, eastern spices and lime zest. Zesty fruit intensity on the attack wrapped in elegant secondary layers- fantastic flavor development. Silky palate density, with integrated acid and fine fleshy structure. Finishes with full notes of white pepper, minerals and citrus. Fantastic- this has really woken up in the year and a half since my last bottle. (94 pts.)

Cheers, Anton. If you have a bottle of this, it’s a good time. I’m down to just Pinot Noir of Ceritas in my cellar… I may need to re-up on some Chardonnay.

I loved that 2011 PMR, but more ’
recent vinetages have been sharper, more acidic.Porter-Bass has been excellent, show their best after a couple of years in the cellar.
