TN: 2011 Bruno Sorg - Muscat (France, Alsace, Alsace AOC)

2011 Bruno Sorg Muscat - France, Alsace, Alsace AOC (10/22/2013)
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind on Day 1 and also on Day 3 –

NOSE: DAY 1: mineral; smoky; lychee and a hint of green pear; moderately complex. DAY 3: pear; anise root; mineral.

BODY: nearly colorless — faint green-yellow color; medium bodied.

TASTE: DAY 1: floral lychee; oily mouthfeel; mineral — powdery perfume; orange water/orange sherbet; moderate fruit concentration (less than the ’10 vintage); not much flavor when cold; drier than the ’10 vintage of the same bottling (and not as good, imo); 12% alc. not noticeable; somewhat dilute — mostly about the mineral; short finish of medium-light intensity; drink now. DAY 3: still lacking in depth of flavor.

B: 50, 5, 11, 13, 6 = (85 pts.)
