But as it sat it opened up progressively, the nose getting better, the texture smoothing out, everything coming into even greater balance. Loved this and definitely wish I’d had a chance to follow the 2010 in a similar fashion.

I haven’t had this 2011 but loved the 2010. The development over several hours was remarkable and it effortlessly crushed the 2004 Veuve Clicquot Rosé it was matched up with. It truly is a real wine and one of the better values too in the world of rosé Champagne, I think.

I’ve had the 2011, and just bought another for Valentine’s Day. Wine is super precise. Really top notch stuff
