TN: 2011 Arnot-Roberts Touriga Nacional Luchsinger Vineyard

Stopped by this morning to pick up my Rosé and Duncan was kind enough to give me a brief tour of the new digs. Nice place, nice people, good wine… Since it’s a nice sunny day (and since Grafstrom was wanting to hear about it [berserker.gif] ) today I figured I’d try one out when I got home from work. Winning!

Pop n pour. Nose of watermelon, citrus zest, nectarine and crushed stones. Nice weight to it. Has a mouth coating texture, pure fresh fruit and tangy acidity. Very refreshing wine that I can see being a great spring/summer pairing. Press # to reorder!

Nice Brian. I just received my shipment yesterday. Interested to try the Touriga-Nacional (is this Lake County)?

I was up in Healdsburg on Tuesday and drove by an Arnot-Roberts facility of some sort off the main road. Is this the “new digs” you are referring to?

Yep, they’re around the back. Lots of parking for events, big patio and planted area to mingle. Though I miss them leaving Forestville this is a nice upgrade.

Thanks for the note. I’m looking forward to receiving mine, especially if these 50 degree winter days continue.

Great rose. Mine arrived yesterday, but I also picked up and drank a bottle last weekend. BTW, 12.4% abv, a very graceful wine.

This wine just continues to bring it. Great pairing with Mango Salsa on a warm 4th of July. The aromatics jump from the glass and the creamy strawberry, watermelon and nectarine on the palate combined with bright acidity make it a pleasurable drink. Nudges out the '11 Ode to Lulu as my Rosé of the Year. Raised lots of eyebrows around the table.
