Scarily good for this level, cool, composed, savoury, with a good lick of minerally citrus acidity, but it’s just so wonderfully balanced and detailed for a wine of this level. The 04 and 07 were very good, but this just might be better.
been drinking my two cases of 07. It is quite good for its breeding.
Have to agree Kent. Finished our last bottle from a case during the week, stunning for its level.
Agree it’s delicious stuff! Slightly prefer the Leflaive version though.
I was fortunate to taste through the entire 2010 lineup in the cellar a couple years ago. Started with this Bourgogne Blance, and I distinctly remember saying to myself “self, this is already so good, I can’t imagine how great the rest of these wines are going to be”
Great wine
Could not agree more! Superb.
I have three bottles left of a case, which I’m trying to cellar for a few years for the sake of empyrical science… You guys aren’t making it any easier for me!
The '10 Roulots are crazy good…
Agree, but its $15-20/ bottle more expensive.
A very good drink, nearly worth the cost.
Robert,
Very profound and might apply to most drops.
Yes, it is expensive for a Bourgogne, but to me it’s good value if one is judging the contents of the bottle. It’s more to my taste than many premier crus.
Cheers,
Kent
Hi, has anyone tasted the 2011 version of this??
Had the '11 at the Domaine a few month’s ago Dan, not quite up to the '10 but lovely (my note below). The '11 ‘Perrieres’ is damn close to wine of the vintage for mine, simply brilliant!
Best Regards
Jeremy
2011 Bourgogne Blanc: Fruit is from around the village of Meursault and I often regard this as a mini Meursault. This ’11 is a beaut. It is fresh, pure and zippy with white peach flavour and good line.
Thank you, Jeremy.
Rule #1, all Roulot is good Roulot
glad to have got some more lately at sale. for me with Leflaive one of the best Bourgogne you can get. Btw Boillots Bourgogne are worth looking for as well.
