FWIW, K&L now has the '11 in stock. First I’ve seen stateside. Me, I’m gonna wait till it pops up on the East Coast. Early reports I’ve heard on the vintage is it mixes some of the best qualities of '09 and '10, though I’d love to hear from anyone who’s tried this or other '11 N Rhones firsthand.
Damn, I think the price has gone up 20%. IIRC the '10’s were $36; the '11’s are $45. If it’s anything like the '10, I’ll have to make room on the cellar floor for these…
I was buying some 04’s for about $18. 05’s for about $23. When Kermit Lynch took over distribution, the prices really went up a lot! Great couple of brothers run this place. Fabulous property .
The VV is the special plot they bought from one of the real old timers, Raymond Trollat. A relatively new bottling. I like the wines and have a vertical back to 04. I need to pick up a few 10’s it seems even with the prices going up. Still fabulous quality here. FWIW.
Looking at my CT Cellar, K&L sold the 2010 for $39.99 and the 2009 for $34.99. Sad but these indeed are creeping upin price rapidly over the past few years.
