TN: 2010 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Corton-Clos Rognet

  • 2010 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Corton-Clos Rognet - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru (9/13/2013)
Popped and pour with Bison burgers and tomato salad. Wow. Hell of a wine. Great depth and minerality with a dense Meo fruit profile. While dense and rich not course like many Cortons. Really what a young burgundy should be with great balance. Glad I have more and loaded up on Meo in 2010.

The 2009 is also a brilliant wine…

Thanks for the note, Nick. It sounds really good, which I wouldn’t have expected yet. Grand Cru Burgundy with burgers - livin’ large!

Cool note Nico!

Martin,

It was good but very primary. I normally don’t drink these things too young but couldn’t let the opportunity of having a 7 pack go to waste.

It’s not La Tache with chile but I’m working up to it.

Thanks Jon. I have a long way to go to get to your level of profundity but I’m trying.

Lovely note on what sounds like a lovely wine.

It was years ago that I did that and I am branded forever. The chile wasn’t that spicy.

Let me know if you ever sell some!

Sure - that’s what you say now but it wasn’t what you said then flirtysmile neener!

Jon, quite frankly I may have made a lot of promises that night. I think someone gave me a roofie.

Alan I have ultimate respect for non conformity. Enjoy with what you will I say.
