2010 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (8/10/2014)
Drank over three nights at home. Very primary, although quite ripe fruit expression via fruitcake also quite traditional a la garrigue, tobacco, leather and animal. Very good concentration, quite silky, good acidity and nicely integrated tannins. Very nice but need another five to ten years. (95 pts.)

2010 Domaine du Pégaü Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (2/8/2013)
Pop and pour, jammy red fruits, garrigue, fruit cakes and mineral. Silky and cool palate, bright acidity and sweet tannins. This is an excellent classic CDP that will age gracefully. (95 pts.)

Whoa, a new Pegau note is demoted to page 2 on WB with no comments? A fall from grace?
Thanks for posting Kevin. I bought a few of these but won’t touch this vintage for my standard decade. Loving my '01’s, as well as the early-drinking vintages '04 and '08. Might buy some '11’s if I can find some deals. I’m enjoying the cooler vintages more than the jammy blockbusters. Sounds like '10 might be a happy medium.
Cheers,
Warren
I have a very similar note in CT. Same score. One of the best wines I had last year.
I had the '11 over the past few days and it was really nice… leather, tobacco, licorice, red fruits on day 1, then day 2 had fruit and minerals at the forefront, with some floral notes. Seems very clean compared to some vintages, with moderate alcohol. Debating whether to buy more at $40.
Nice notes on the 2010. I have been meaning to pull one and this will prompt me to do that this weekend. I did just finish up a third of a bottle of each of the 08 and 09 (previously Coravined at different times) side by side the other night. Both were drinking very well. In fact after starting with the 09 and being impress, I was a bit surprised that the 08 showed comparatively as well as it did. Though in my opinion the 08 is not as good as the 09 (91pts vs 96pts for the 09 the other night), it is a very good CdP and nicely worth the $28. The 09 should keep improving in the cellar for a bit longer - perhaps it will even hit the 98pt RP score.
