TN: 2010 Domaine Arlaud Chambolle-Musigny

2010 Domaine Arlaud Chambolle-Musigny - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny (12/9/2014)
Medium dark garnet in color, showing a fair amount of reduction on the nose, this needs substantial air time. Has lost a bit of it’s forward fruit since release, but shows reserved dark cherry/raspberry with spice notes and a hint of orange peel. Somewhat rustic and austere, I would probably put this away for at least 5 years. (89 pts.)

Thanks for the note. His Morey village is in a similar shape right now. Sounds like 2010s are going to sleep

Alan,
I don’t see this much at retail.
But I had a couple 06’s (1er) that I thought were very well made.

Dan, VVW will be pouring the 2012s this Friday

The few examples I’ve had of this wine from other vintages have been very good, and I’m a huge fan of Arlaud’s lineup, but the current retail price of this villages has turned me off, unfortunately. I wish I had more money. :frowning:
