    Bacon and pepper on the nose and palate. Lots of dark smoky fruit, but this was light on its feet - not heavy or cloying at all. I would let this sit a few more years before opening my next bottle. VERY GOOD. (92 pts.)

I had two of my three bottles of that in the first year after release, and they were great, just as you described.

Denner seems to be finding a nice groove these days with reds that have power and intensity without heaviness – I think a light hand with the oak under the current winemaker is a big part of it.
