2010 Bernard Boisson-Vadot Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru En Reugne- France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru (9/22/2013)
Loads of sulphur, fruit and oak, all in equal proportion. It is smoky and punchy with good intensity and great line. A piercing wine that has enough flesh to satisfy and is stacked for future development.
I’ve had the Pierre Boisson version and it’s fantastic at the price point. Particularly loved the 2008. The 2010 has a bit more cut and liveliness on it.
In fact I think I win the Kewpie mayonnaise for getting this one wrong on cellartracker. I’m pretty sure it is labelled as Pierre Boisson.
Jim, the Boisson-Vadot wines are the ‘poor man’s Coche’ for mine. Superb Meursault wines with ‘Genevrieres’ being their top offering. The village wines are outstanding also.
