TN: 2009 Philippe Pacalet Nuits St. Georges

  • 2009 Philippe Pacalet Nuits St. Georges - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges (12/21/2011)
It’s worked, leesy, cheesy, pulpy and textured but beneath all of the noise there is a wine of good purity and focus. The fruit profile starts off all custard apple and morphs into something fresh and lemony. There is a suggestion of minerality and whilst acidity is moderate there’s a big puff of chalk keeping everything real on the finish.

Hmm - almost sounds spoofulated Jeremy…(?)

Not spoofulated Bill, just a bit wild!

This is a white?

Pinot blanc I believe.
