2009 Jones Family The Sisters - USA, California, Napa Valley (5/5/2012)
This was a pop and pour with dinner. Nose of berries and creme de cassis. Dark red fruit on the palate. There are big tannins present, but well balanced with the acidity of the wine. A nice lingering mouth feel of mint, tobacco and chocolate complete the effect. This is a great value for the price. I’m glad I have more to enjoy .Thomas Rivers Brown, Winemaker, March 2011, Vintage: 2009, Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon, Appellation: Calistoga, Harvest Date: September 1, 2009, Aging: 20 months in barrel, Bottling Date: July 2011, Alcohol: 14.8% (93 pts.)
