TN: 2009 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre

  • 2009 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (3/24/2012)
Quite heavily reduced and it takes a lot of working of oxygen into the wine before it kicks into gear. It is dense, chewy and sappy. There’s plenty of geological matter coupled with ripe orchard fruits and good preservation of lemony acidity.

Disclaimer: I have sold some of this wine.

Thanks Jeremy - sounds vcery nice, I have bought some of this. I really like Montee de Tonnerre, a lot of bang for your buck. Near Grand Cru wine for 1er cru pricing. I get both the Ravaneau and the Fevre versions.

had this recently. it was opened for a while. no sign of reduction. wasn’t exactly open either. came across as an 08. made me realize 09 is not necessarily a write off vintage for chablis.
