2009 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Chambolle-Musigny - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny (6/21/2025)
Cellared since release, decanted for 30min, last had 9yrs ago...this one is definitely showing the 09 ripeness, and going tertiary! Fruit is ripe and still somewhat candied...all red fruited, with a GORGEOUS white pepper and exotic sandalwood spiced nose....ah the nose is to DIE for! Along with the spices you get the damp forest, tilled earth, wet leaves, old leather...bright blood orange acidity...mingling in with the dried raspberry, strawberry, crancherry fruits. Yes a little ripe, yes a little alc bite...blind I might guess Rayas...this still has wonderful silkiness and translucent elegance...packed with plenty a pretties...solid structure, with that fruit...it might be one to age out decades? MUCH more than just a village wine...producer quality is evident! But DAMN son...that nose, those florals and spices are worth it right there! (94 points)
