    Lovely wine. The nose is all pears and quince with a hint of honey. The palate follows through on this and adds a tension between an almost white sugar note, the acid and a medium body that adds weight. This held up very well for several days in the fridge, not really changing much. That surprised me - the nose was still prominent 4 days after first being opened. Drink this now or over the next 2-3 years.

Probably one of the least appreciated regions in France. 20 years ago or so, it was one of the first I visited. Lots of innocuous juice (like so many regions) but great value when done right. Recently acquired some Belluard to try.

I’m getting back on the “drink things from regions I don’t know” horse and this plus a few others from the Savoie are at a friend’s shop. Any producers I should hunt down?

Pierre Boniface Apremont is probably the most common. Pretty nice actually. Other options:
