- 2009 Breggo Cellars Chardonnay Savoy Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (5/18/2026)
Popped and poured. Wow, exactly what you expect from a fully mature aged Chardonnay. Medium gold in color. Oxidized from age, not from any failure of a cork. Tart apples, with a dense mouthfeel. Great acidity. Paired perfectly with the chicken and fresh morels dish I prepared.
I opened this wine because I didn't have any aged Vin Jaune, which is the classic pairing. No matter. This wine was perfect with the dish. (90 points)
