This has the typical Arcadian nose on it. I could pick his chardonnay’s out blind just by from the nose. I popped and poured this wine with a risotto with rogue river blue and shrimp in it. Wonderful nose of fresh fruits, pear, apple, a bit of citrus and just a kiss of oak. The taste was similar to the nose and absolutely wonderful. This is drinking very well right now but has plenty of acid for the long haul. If you have multiples of these you should check in on this…you won’t be disappointed! Once again bravo Joe
Couldn’t agree more. We popped this soon after it arrived.

We loved this! Young for an Arcadian, but full of flavor. It’s CA chard, no doubt, but with a balance to it. It reminds me of an older Aubert that has shed it’s weight and oakiness and now retains a bit as a back note. The acidity carries the day. Drinking really well (92 pts.)

Rich, golden yellow color. Lush sweet pineapple dominates the bouquet, with a light touch of mineral. Medium to medium-full bodied on the palate. Rich, lemony, flavor with ample juicy acidity. Very good, but a notch below the Sleepy Hollow.
Interesting you thought the sleepy hollow a bit better. I went big on the Sierra Madre rather than the Sleepy Hollow as after a early tasting of both I thought the Sierra Madre showed more mineral and less fruit and oak character. I still have several left and trying to keep my hands off but will probably open another based on Bryan’s (with a y) note. I opened an 05 sleepy hollow a couple of weeks ago, golden, rich and delicious
An '05 Sleepy Hollow that I opened sometime within the past month may be the best of 10 or so bottles I’ve tasted to date.

NOSE: watery mineral; rich; high-toned, but very rich; light pineapple.
BODY: rich, moderately dark golden yellow color; medium-full to full bodied.
TASTE: rich, but a touch watery; little tiny hint of wet cardboard, so maybe just a faint bit of TCA here, but if that’s the case, it’s sitting behind a presentation of a rich, lemony, buttery Chard. with medium oak presence. Drink Now.
