2008 Sojourn Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (5/19/2014)
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Sojourn. It’s also no secret that a little cellar time can do wonders for a well made wine. Pop and pour > a fruity nose and some cherry taste. This was a full bodied wine. Medium-dark purple color. Rich tasting and very smooth as the evening went on. After 4 hours, this was smoother and a little more fruit showing, but never hitting you over the head. This was the bottle that kept on giving all night. Not many of those around. Drink now or hold a while. On Day 2, the wine was smoother than the first day (if you thought that was possible). It was more impressive. A pleasure to drink. Sorry that I don’t have another bottle stashed away. (93 pts.)

Edited to say that considering this wasn’t a Gaps or San G, it makes this wine even more impressive.
