The anti-Sierra Carche (albeit not close to 96 points)! The first bottle that I opened of this, in February, was not drinkable, not in any way. Words cannot describe how bad that wine was, so I did not post a note (and there aren’t many bottles in existence anyway, so who would care).
This, on the other hand, was a pleasant quaffer on a (very) hot Mid-Summer’s Eve. A bit spritzy, which surprisingly was a plus tonight; mostly citrus (grapefruit) on the palate, it was a nice, mildly floral wine. It is 90+ tonight, and this fit the bill on a (too) hot night.
Last bottle that I had was also excellent. I would also add that this is first Scholium Rose and somewhat of an experiment and given free to the mailing list.
