TN: 2008 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon

Decanted for 90 minutes.

Purple in color. 15.2% ABV. Towering nose of blue fruits, scorched earth, Whitman Sampler box and violets. Full bodied with tremendous power and concentration. Exceptional balance. Currants, cassis liqueur, raspberry and chocolate truffle on the palate. The finish on the wine is incredibly long with pronounced silky tannins. This Cabernet is appealing and approachable now but rest assured it will age well for another decade.

My rating: 97 points.

Thanks for the note Tom. I have been buying this since the '99 vintage. IMHO, the best deal going for high end Cab.

Whitman Sampler box

Now that is the first time I have seen Whitman’s in a tasting note. Hersheys a bit more often. [cheers.gif]

I have a couple bottles of this, nice.
