2008 Proprieta Sperino Coste della Sesia Uvaggio - Italy, Piedmont, Northern Piedmont, Coste della Sesia (5/21/2009)
AVERAGE
Color is ruby red in the bottle, but gets significantly lighter in the glass. Nose is yeasty strawberry like a Strawberry Blond Ale. On the palate it’s strawberry and watermelon with good acidity. The frizzante on this bottle, and others tasted, was so distracting making this a really good Bartles and James. After 15 minutes at room temp it falls apart, and bad. Bitterness sat in and only got worse as time went on. This wine was “good” for about 15-30 minutes, so drink quickly.
