2008 Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough (8/14/2009)
– cracked and poured –
– tasted non-blind over 0.5 hours –
NOSE: green apple; gooseberry; green pear; expressive bouquet.
BODY: green-yellow color; medium-full bodied.
TASTE: not quite as crisp as the bouquet would indicate – seems like there’s some Semillon mixed in, although I highly doubt there is; somewhat herbaceous, with some tropical gooseberry; a bit alcoholic on the short finish.
B: 50, 5, 11, 15, 6 = (87 pts.)
