2008 Hirsch Vineyards Chardonnay - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (3/20/2011)
A glass-coating, rich gold color- lightly cloudy. Aromas of slate, wet stone, apple, lemon, créme fraiche, hazelnut. Full bodied on the palate with apple/pear, vanilla, almond, limestone. Juicy acidity- nice and bright. Fall a little short on the finish- nutty and minerals but little lasting fruit. (91 pts.)
