2008 François Chidaine Touraine Val de Loire Sauvignon - France, Loire Valley, Touraine (7/6/2009)
Another inexpensive but tasty white wine. Having a glass while Traci preps for the roasted poblano and corn pizza. Opened yesterday but I didn’t get to taste.
This is very nice. Nose is a little grassy with lemon/lime citrus and crushed stone. The palate is pretty nice. Just enough intensity with more lemon, stone, slight melon and a little gooseberry and green pepper. Refreshing acidity to go along with a shortish finish. (87 pts.)
