TN: 2008 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos

Pale yellow and vibrant, no pre-mox with this baby. Intense lemon grass and tart citrus aromas. For me, Les Clos is always the lusher cuvee’ from Fevre. Just starting to evolve into something special. Will spin the pre-mox wheel and let the remaining bottles rest a bit longer. (94 pts.)

Dale, nice tasting note, thanks. My impression of this wine was similar when I had it last year. i am also cellaring my remaining bottles, hoping for further development.

Cheers, Howard

My problem with Fevre Clos is that 10-12 years seems about right. That’s a big spin of the wheel. I like Fevre wines, but I’m still just buying the lower PC’s to drink young.

I agree, but I have been 100% on this case so far that I’m willing to gamble. I’m half way to the sweet spot! champagne.gif

Since they moved to the DIAM corks several years ago, I think the premox risk is greatly reduced.

Best of luck on that one. I hope they (and every one else) get it fixed as I do like their wines.
