We had a salad with mixed greens, feta, crunchy stuff, and a really nice cara cara orange dressing. A baguette and some cheese. But the wine… I’m still sitting here, savoring it. Damn this is good stuff.

Agreed, at $30+ it’s definitely expensive relative to other roses. But I think there’s pretty universal agreement that it’s the best rose for any amount of money.

Since it’s usually ~$40 locally I’ve found it not such a great value any longer. I’ve tasted other Bandol roses that were nearly as good for much less. And there are always other regions as well.

Very good as roses go but you know they are getting big for their britches when the price is ahead of the rouge(which is an excellent age worthy wine BTW).

Agree - the Fontsainte Gris de Gris has become my go-to Rosé. Love the Fontsainte “La Demoiselle” bottling too.

But the '07 Tempier was the finest Rosé I’ve ever had.

The Tempier rose is great, but increasingly difficult to find in MD. The distributor just got bought out and has been having problems keeping things in stock.
Another great Bandol rose is from Pibranon. Up there with Tempier for me.
Unfortunately, niether are anywhere near $12!
