Gave it a good chill and then popped and poured. Nose started to really show as the wine warmed up, apricots. The palate gives way to more apricots and tropical fruit. Some acidity, very drinkable now, with a nice finish. Great summer wine and a good value. This is one of those wines you should always have a couple of bottles of on hand. In the sweetness there is a very subtle seashell/minerality.

Sounds really fantastic. I used to buy a lot of Garretson Vioginer via retail, and now that they are OOB I haven’t been drinking as much Vioginer. I’d like that to change.

Thanx for the note, Sean. I meant to buy some of this, as Viognier is one of my favorite white varieties. Little worried about the sweetness, though. How prominent was it? And minerals too? It sounds like Chablis!! [snort.gif]

Dietz,

The sweetest is not big, it is tropical fruit/apricot driven. The minerality that I get is a very subtle touch on the back end.

Good note on a good wine. An every year purchase in our house where it doesn’t last long!

Sounds tasty!

Viognier is one of my favs.

What’s the price point on this?

Brett,

Very reasonably priced. $20/bottle.
