2008 Congruence Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (4/15/2011)
Dark and glorious and teeming with some classy Coombsville goodness. The black fruits abound in this. There is a hint of cola and some Kirsch Royal. Full of character. With a bigger decant, this really showed its full ‘stuff’ tonight and it was amongst some strong competition and it pulled ahead quickly. I have always liked the way this exhibits a near perfect balance and weightlessness in mid-palate, this has purity, precision and power tonight. Nice job!

Thanks, Mike. I was curious to see how it would hold up against Napa cabs from the same vintage at the same price point and was very pleased. I liked the way it kept gaining momentum, even though it had a lot more air than the others beforehand. But where they sort of petered out, the Congruence just kept gaining steam.
