TN: 2008 Beaujolais Blanc, Jean-Paul Brun, Domaine Des Terres Dore

A quick note.

2008 Jean-Paul Brun, Domaine Des Terres Dore, Beaujolais Blanc (100% Chardonnay). Light-bodied, smelling of Fuji apples, stone fruit and salt water. A nice backbone of acid holding it all together, making it lively. Pure, pure Chardonnay. Light. Very enjoyable. A Louis Dressner selection. ($15).

Completely agree, Veronica. I’m not a fan of Chardonnay, but year in, year out this is probably my favorite because it’s just a pure, unadulterated expression of the grape that shows it’s place beautifully.

Cheers,

Brad

This sounds delightful, Veronica. Thanks for the note.

A perennial favorite. Almost picked up a bottle at Chambers on Saturday but I got distracted by some other wines and never got back to it.

Great wine for the money, of course in Texas I’m paying almost that much retail headbang

Thanks for the TN. For some reason, I didn’t go Ga-Ga over the 07, although I typically like most of JP-Brun’s stuff. It was a quick snapshot in a rapid fire shooting gallery. I’ll have to pick-up an 08 and give it a fair shake.
