2008 B.R. Cohn Cabernet Sauvignon Olive Hill Estate Vineyards

My 2nd bottle. Decanted 5 hours before dinner. Paired with a homemade lasagna. Crimson color. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very light sediment. Rather bright for being 17 years old. Notes of red currants, pencil lead and blackberries. The tannins were integrated. Drink now. I previously had the 1993, 1996, 2003 and 2006 and this 2008 was the best. 93 points.

Blast from the past! I visited B.R. Cohn back in 1998.

Gosh, i think i was there in the early 90’s with my parents!

We visited in 1997. Sort of nostalgic. Still remember all the Doobie Brothers memorabilia on the tasting room walls. When I see the Olive Hill for a good price I buy it.

Right near Old Hill.

For a short time I lived on a flower farm near Old Hill, around 1998.
