TN: 2008 Angelo & Figli di Giovanni Negro Roero Arneis Perdaudin

  • 2008 Angelo & Figli di Giovanni Negro Roero Arneis Perdaudin - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Roero (4/24/2014)
From Magnum, at Profuma di Vino, in Treiso. Very clean, with a brilliant mineral and saline backbone that supports the orchard and citric fruits in a medium-bodied package. A terrific food wine that was as or more interesting with each successive glass, thanks to really fresh acids and clearly delineated layers of fruit. I have to believe this is fully mature now (in magnum) so if you haven’t checked on it for a while, now would be a good time. The 14,0% abv only peeks its head in once or twice. Thank you, Memo. recommended, drink now.

PnP, served non-blind. The food and experience at Profuma di Vino are not to be missed, very highly recommended

That cantina makes EXCELLENT sparkling and sweet passito versions of Arneis as well.
