TN: 2008 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Vougeot 1er Cru Les Petits Vougeots

Sucker needs air! Tannic, tight and tart…yet pure bright crunchy sweet red fruits. Silky candied strawberry, raspberry, cherry…pretty florals, strawberry perfume, crushed minerals, dusty cherry spice, slight mint leave soil. Tomorrow will be better…but for a pnp and a chug-a-lug after work…pretty tasty stuff! LOVE these '08’s! ++pts (91 pts.)

Hudelot Noellat and Fourrier both produce this. How do they compare?

Have not had the Fourrier…

Generally I find the Hudelot Noellat to be a little rounder with more richness and the Fourrier to be more linear.

Had this about a year ago, didn’t seem quite so tight but definitely can use some cellar time. The other bottles are sleeping for a while yet.

A great value in a baby Clos Vougeot style, its noble austerity (like the style of Clos Vougeot that I prefer) lends itself well to aging.

Nice note Buzz - haven’t had this one from H-N in any vintage! I thought you were limbering up this week with high ETOH bombs for this coming weekend :p?
