Aromas of ripe cherry, and some citris notes(almost lime?) mixed with touches of cedar and spice. Rich and full on the palate with dried red cherry, bright raspberry, hinting at strawberry, some orange peel and maplewood. A bit tight on the finish, but it just feels like youthful structure. Wish I had more than one… to see where this goes in a few years. Nice, Adam! Thanks for the trade.
Now, after two or so hours the wine has taken on a much more complex nature with some forest floor, mushroom and baking spice. The finish is much more seamless and layered. Wow!
I haven’t had many Keefers, but it was very distinctive. I can see why this vineyard is so highly sought after by winemakers. Adam did a great job with this 07.
I am revisitng the Keefer Siduri from last night, (so glad we saved a glass). It picks up just where we left it last night, like an open blossom. I am so glad John is not home yet, I would hate to have to share this. This is one of those wines that makes me happy!
