TN: 2007 Saint Charles - Piesporter Goldtröpfchen - Riesling - Spätlese (Germany, MSR)

NOSE: light bouquet, that gets even lighter as the wine approaches room temperature; faint notions of pear and banana, but, for the most part, this wine doesn’t have much of a bouquet at all.

BODY: medium bodied; yellow-white color; not spritzy.

TASTE: pear; light golden yellow apple; not sulphury; this tasted best with a chill on it (sub-cellar temp.) - the wine actually lost most of its flavor as it approached room temperature; short finish. Overall: not bad for $15, as long as it’s served with a chill … otherwise, this pretty much sucks. My score reflects the wine with a chill on it.

B: 50, 5, 10, 13, 6 = (84 pts.)
