2007 Navarro Vineyards Gewürztraminer - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (11/2/2009)
Ginger and lychee nose. More reserved than previous vintages but not quite under fruited. Tart clean palate with good acidity. Good meal match. One of the best values for California whites.

an inexpensive white that ages gracefully, my 2004s are really going places now.
Totally agree with you both.
Never disappoints and at $15-$18 its like stealing.
Hey Rock,
Did you pick up an “Estate Dry” also? Usually it has a bit more umph to it, but both are damn good for the $$.
I don’t remember what was offered but I thought it was just the dry and the late harvest. I’m sure I would have tasted both if there were two different dry versions when I was there.

Thanks for the note Cris!
Navarro Dry Gewurzt was one of the first California wines that I really liked. I was on the mailing list before I moved to Texas (first mailing list I was ever on). Haven’t had one in years and it sounds like I need to start making up for lost time!
They also have a regular GWZ for around $13, IIRC, which is a blend from different vineyards and declassified “estate”. I’m betting yours is the “estate dry”, since that is what you brought us. The regular is usually a bit lighter.
