TN: 2007 Mt Eden Estate Chardonnay

First Mt Eden chard, served with butter poached shrimp and grits ( I highly recommend the pairing).
Beautiful golden color in the glass. The nose is very expressive, I get beeswax, apricot, clove. On the palate, green apples, clove, pineapple, and really intense minerality. Finishes a little tight, even after it had been opened for a couple hours. Oak is definitely apparent, but not overwhelming, it will be interesting to revisit this in a few more years and see how it evolves.
