I bought quite a bit of Mauro Veglio Barolos in the mid noughties as they were excellent value. I have just started opening a few and they are opening up nicely.
This wine is quite glossy, with just a hint of oak. It is quite dense with sweet tannins, tobacco, sour cherry and dark chocolate notes. Really starting to drink rather well, perhaps showing the ripeness of the vintage.
