2007 Mas Grand Plaignol Costières-de-Nîmes Tradition Blanc - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Costières-de-Nîmes (6/11/2009)
Opened this to have a glass or two while cooking prepping in anticipation for tonight’s Lakers game/Guy’s night of NY Strip Steaks and Cabernet.
Very tasty. Nose is lanolin, honey, pineapple and meyer lemon with a little earthiness. The palate is rich/oily like you would expect with a white Rhone, some minerality, loads of peach/pineapple, honey, tropical fruit. Finish is a touch short but this is a pretty nice $13 wine. (88 pts.)
