2007 M. Chapoutier Côtes du Roussillon Visitare Interiore Terrae - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon (9/17/2010)
This wine is pure magic. Simply an amazing effort from Chapoutier and his domaine in the Roussillon area. The nose expresses tons of garrigue, kirsch and dark mature fruits. Palate reveals black pepper and and elegant spiciness combined with silky velvety like tannins and a finish which lasts some 60 seconds. What makes me tick even more is the almost perfect integration of the wine - To be honest this in particular reminds me of Chapoutiers prodigious efforts from Hermitage. The wine is very approachable now, but I guess it will last at least some 10 years though this is difficult to know. If you can find a bottle or two, go buy! Highly recommended. (95 pts.)
