2007 Louis Jadot Chablis - France, Burgundy, Chablis (7/24/2009)
Well…not the killer '04, and better than the '06. More fleshy green apple, pear, melon fruit…with less salty seashell and flinty match strike than the '04. Nice lemon citrus, minerals…but a little more soapy, less toast than I prefer. This '07 is alright…but search out the '04 if you can. (89 pts.)

Seems to be the case with most of the '07 white Burgs and Chablis I’ve been trying - methinks this vintage is being overhyped.
What I’ve had so far (the whole lineup of Marc Colin wines, a handful of assorted others – Ramonet, Bouchard, Pierre Yves Colin-Morey) suggest that the wines are certainly in the realm of 02/04/05. Perhaps not as rich as 02 or 05, but on the flip side more precise and energetic. And perhaps more pure than 04? I’ve been buying a touch and will buy a bit more, nothing expensive. Maybe 2-3 cases total for drinking in the near to mid term. Oh how I wish premox didn’t exist!
